BIG STIR RECORDS SINGLES SERIES is proud to announce single no. 147, “Back Into Eloise” by THE INCURABLES. Pre-order is available now at
bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com/album/back-into-eloise-big-stir-single-no-147 due for August 13th release.
Here’s what Mike DeAngelis (“There Once Was a Note”) has to say about the newest release: “‘Back Into Eloise’ emphasizes, more than anything, is how tight the Incurables are as a band. No one’s just along for the ride…all of the needles get pushed into the red. The song starts off with a volume swell, then an intricate little Joe Perry-styled riff, then a booming bass note, then galloping bass, and the song is off and running at full clip. “The sound of screams, the sound of laughter, always reminds me of you…” Well, at this point, there can be no doubt that we’re on The Incurables’ home turf. Around the 1:40 mark we get a nice, tight, compact guitar solo, and then around 2:10…stop the presses, what’s this…a little Flamenco / Spanish guitar / spaghetti western interlude, which melts into another trademarked boom of bass, roll of the drums, then the riff picks up again and it’s a hard charge to the finish line…all in a blistering three and a half minutes.”
The Incurables are a four-piece harmonic, upbeat, guitar driven garage rock band widely known for their high energy live performances and audience participation. Emerging from the primordial ooze of the Detroit suburbs, the band blends the sounds of 60’s British Invasion and psychedelic era as well as the guitar driven energy of New York's "CBGB" power pop/punk scene of the late 70's and early 80's. Not driven by fads or the flavor of the week, the band’s style continues to evolve with an eclectic mix that lands between the sounds of chainsaws on a chalkboard and angels giggling in the wind.
