BIG STIR RECORDS and THE BROTHERS STEVE are proud to announce the release of a new single and video for “Electro-Love,” from the band's acclaimed 2021 album DOSE. The video will premiere Tuesday, December 14 via IT'S PSYCHEDELIC BABY MAGAZINE's web platform, with the track itself streaming everywhere as of December 17. The single is up for pre-order at
bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com now.
“Electro-Love,” with its energetic blend of glam-rock and new wave styles and its instant hook of a chorus, has already been singled out by DJs worldwide as the clear follow-up to the album's lead single “Next Aquarius.” The new album DOSE has been hailed with a five-star rave review in the revered SHINDIG! MAGAZINE and called "a ten-track sunburst in audio form... guaranteed to put a smile on even the gloomiest of faces... summertime power pop floating on a psychedelic breeze” by the UK's RPM Online. The record, the LA quintet's second full-length, is already cropping up on Year's Best Album lists, from California's THE POWER POP SHOW to England's LOUDER THAN WAR MAGAZINE, with many more sure to follow.
The video matches the soaring fun of the track. It's assembled from vintage public domain animated footage that captures the timeless vibe and irresistible energy of the tune. And what exactly is “Electro-Love?” According to co-frontman OS TYLER, “There's a collective mythology here, maybe a sort of future-retro-neo-noir thing... but it's fundamentally about sonic delight, a luxurious soundscape.” Co-singer and TBS guitarist JEFF WHALEN adds: “Like a T-Rex song, the imagery might mean different things to different people, but you can tell how excited we are about making the listener feel it along with us.” The powerful full-band sound here is provide by the other Brothers: drummer COULTER (aka author S.W. Lauden) and bassist JEFF SOLOMON (Whalen's longtime bandmates from the beloved LA pop-rock combo TSAR) along with guitarist DYLAN CHAMPION.
DOSE is out now and available on CD from
www.bigstirrecords.com and all major online retailers, and streaming worldwide everywhere. It will be hitting record store shelves in the US and UK in early 2022.
