BIG STIR SINGLES SERIES is pleased to announce the upcoming release from RICH ARITHMETIC titled “In Our Time (Ode for The E-Types)” b/w “Do You Remember (What the Music's For)” available for pre-order now at bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com.

These songs are both found on their January 2021 album release “Shiftingears” and switches things up with an eclectic collection of pop and harmony songs that draw from a variety of influences while still establishing his own unique pop credentials.

Familiar to fans of Rich Arithmetic will be the influence of The Beatles and, naturally, XTC, along with incorporations of criss-crossing harmonies punctuated by a handful of surf-guitar riffs. There is something for everyone offers - from Wilsonesque walls of sound and 4-piece power pop to after-midnight atmospheres and the dreamy folk-rock of the late '60s. Recorded with a 'Rona wrecking crew contributing remotely across the United States in 2019-2020, Rich Arithmetic serves up multiple lead vocalists and folk-meets-surf-and-sand harmonies - along with enough musicians for a pocket orchestra.

Good gracious, I went for Aldora Britain's full discography and will have to digest the lot slowly, piece by piece ;-)) Indie music lovers, watch out! The full discography is offered ridiculously cheap. So cheap, I couldn't take the original offer. Nevertheless,, I still got the whole stuff, well , for a ridiculously cheap price.... Many (over 160) compilations and even more singles or EPs. Fantastic value for money and so much music to discover!!!! Folk, rock, punk, alternative, pop, soul... Carsten Pieper
