At the beginning of the first month of 2022, Big Stir Records and AMOEBA TEEN are appropriately proud to present “January,” the first single from the Stourbridge, UK quartet's forthcoming self-titled album due in late spring. The new track is out January 7, up for preorder now at bigtirrecords.bandcamp.com, and streaming everywhere on the release date.

“January” was recorded, like the entire album, live as a four-piece, capturing the energy of the band performance Amoeba Teen are famed for. It's a lovely and lilting country-tinged number showcasing the band's melodic gifts and instrumental interplay. The album was produced by Sean Lloyd at Claptrap Studios in Stourbridge and mastered by George Shilling (Teenage Fanclub, Primal Scream). Sean was instrumental in developing the Amoeba Teen sound into new sonic territories. The single is just a taste of what awaits listeners when Amoeba Teen (the album) sees release in April.

AMOEBA TEEN are guitarist/vocalists MARK BRITTON and MIKE TURNER, bassist SIMON MUTTITT and drummer CARL BAYLISS. The new album is the long-awaited followup to the band's acclaimed 2019 Big Stir release MEDIUM WAVE, available at www.bigstirrecords.com and streaming everywhere.
