BIG STIR RECORDS is proud to bring our long-running and beloved Singles Series to a conclusion with a double dose of Dolph, drenched in duality! The new single “My Good Twin” from DOLPH CHANEY arrives on Bandcamp Friday, September 3, and is up for preorder now at bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com and streaming everywhere on its release date. Featuring the album version of the tune from Dolph's hit 2021 album THIS IS DOLPH CHANEY and backed with the original version of the tune from 2008, it will be left to the listener to decide which of the back-to-back doppelgangers is the Evil Twin, and which is... well, what the title says! Better yet, the release comes with a brand new (and hilarious) video starring double Dolphs, premiering in the coming days... watch for it!

And there's yet more mirroring! The single accompanies the release of a new digital-only companion piece to THIS IS DOLPH CHANEY, encompassing all of the original versions of the tunes freshly recorded by by Dolph and NICK BERTLING for the new album. Entitled, naturally, THIS WAS DOLPH CHANEY, it collects the same tunes in the same sequence, newly remastered by Bertling but in the unvarnished, often radically different mixes and arrangements in which they first appeared on independent release from Chaney between 1993 and 2008. A fascinating career summary and glimpse into Dolph's evolution and creative process, THIS WAS DOLPH CHANEY bows on the same date as the new single.

And as if more double-goodness was needed, "My Good Twin" wraps up the Singles Series sharing its release date with the new BILL LLOYD single "Satellite," assuring a grand finale to the three-year run of A-side/B-sides combos that have brought Big Stir music to the airwaves.

It's also fitting that the grand finale comes from DOLPH CHANEY, whose career took off with his first entry in the Singles Series, "It's Okay" in 2019 and hasn't let up since, with two BSR albums and countless accolades gathered along the way. And the roaring, wry and rambunctious "Twin" is already a hit – singled out (pun intended) from the album for airplay by the legendary Rodney Bingenheimer among others, and cited as a highlight in reviews from Pop-A-Looza, I Don't Hear A Single, Dagger Zine, babysue, Power Pop News, and This Is Rock 'N' Roll Radio, whose Carl Cafarelli gets the last word: "It is indeed a hit single, in act if not in fact. We play the hits. We play Dolph Chaney. We know a hit when we hear one."
