By popular demand after having notched high entries on a number of indie radio charts, the title track from THE BABLERS' new album Psychadlilly Circus is now being releases as a single in a new and exclusive “Radio Edit” along with the track's album version on the virtual flipside. The new version of the tune is out Friday, July 30 on all digital platforms and up for pre-order at
bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com or pre-saved at the service of your choice at
orcd.co/thebablers-psychadillysingle now.
The most overtly psychedelic track – and one of the grooviest! – on the new album from the Finnish pop-rock supergroup, “Circus” packs even more energy in its breezier radio-ready form. “The perfect retro-rock track just in time for summer…an astutely guitar-centric track with hints of beach and party rock and fonder decades where corona was a beer and virus was the flu,” reads the review in Jammerzine, and you can hear what they mean right away. Based on a hypnotic, Revolver-esque guitar figure, its authentically vintage rave-up groove and wall to wall harmonies – they're sung through a real life megaphone, not a digital filter! – add up to a welcome throwback to times when musical creativity and communal good vibes were the order of the day.
It's just the latest track from the album to break out of the pack, following “Love Is Everything!” and “Queen Of Yesterday” in climbing the charts. The album itself has received critical acclaim as well. All Around Records declared it “stunning psychedelia – melodic, trippy, smart, and very pop”, while Pop-A-Looza proclaimed, “Awash with top-line tunes, Psychadilly Circus is a bona fide keeper”. “A classy pop confection with plenty of hidden depths and and cool atmospheres for the listener to plunge themselves into, 'Psychadilly Circus'’ brand of kaleidoscopic fun sports plenty of tunes that are built to last," wrote the UK's Louder Than War, joining a chorus of praise in five languages (and counting!) for what's clearly one of the breakout guitar-pop hits of the year. Psychadilly Circus has clearly come to town... step right up and experience the trippy delights Finland's finest – THE BABLERS – have to offer.
