BIG STIR RECORDS SINGLES SERIES is pleased to welcome STEPHEN’S RUIN with their June 18th release of “Runaround” b/w “Tonight”. Both delightful tunes find us chasing after “that one” that is just a bit out of reach, but the songs feed us a dynamic mix of ‘60s-drenched tones in the guitars and keys, and harmonies that also play to our heart.

STEPHEN’S RUIN is a young Düsseldorf based band consisting of the sibling pairs Paul Desmond (vocals) and Elias Leech (Vox-Hammond-Farfissa) Lukas (Bass) and Philipp Manderla (guitar) Jan Elblinger (guitar) and Max Smets (drums). Sharing a common love for first generation Rock and Roll, Sixties Beat, early Psychedelic and 76 Punk they produce infectious Pop for a new generation. Premiere Album 'Never Too Late' from 2019 is available on Kool Kat Musik.

Their songs are primarily characterized by their infectious melodies with a lot of energy. The music is influenced by beat and punk bands from the 50s, 60s and 70s, short songs, catchy melodies and polyphonic chants.
