In conjunction with the release of a brand new video and just ahead of Texas guitar-pop legend LANNIE FLOWERS' appearance live onstage at Liverpool's historic Cavern Club, SPYDERPOP RECORDS and Big Stir Records are proud to announce the release of the new single “Running” on June 26. It's up for pre-order/pre-save now at bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com and all major streaming services now.

“Running” is the lead track – and thematic launching pad – from LANNIE FLOWERS' celebrated 2019 album HOME, lauded as the Best Album of the Year by Goldmine Magazine's John M. Borack (among an armload of similar honors from writers and music media outlets worldwide). It's introspective and emotional, but it also rocks, bringing to mind the best work of Tom Petty and the top tier acts of the British Invasion. An appropriate kickoff for HOME with its themes of seeking a place to belong after a life on the road, “Running” is also the most-streamed track from the record, which is also available as a Deluxe Gatefold Double Vinyl LP and CD in record stores and from online retailers worldwide (orcd.co/lannieflowers-home) as well as via Big Stir Records' online web store.

And that idea of a man in motion – captured in the video set to bow just before the single's release – fits right in with Lannie's appearance just days after its release onstage in England. Lannie will be joined by his SpyderPop labelmate, fellow Pengwin, and solo star in his own right DANNY WILKERSON for the Cavern Club dates on June 3 and 4, marking a rare chance for UK audiences to see two Texas greats at once. And if those shows, this single, and the new video serve to introduce a new audience to the acclaimed song cycle of HOME, one can only envy those fans the discoveries that await – including the album's equally beloved 2022 sequel and companion piece FLAVOR OF THE MONTH (out now on Vinyl/CD/Streaming: orcd.co/lannie-flowers-fotm), and indeed Lannie's full, rich back catalog, all available from SpyderPop Records via Big Stir.
