BIG STIR RECORDS SINGLES SERIES is thrilled to announce the March 12th release of “Split Decision” by POPULAR CREEPS! It’s available for pre-order now at bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com . This magnificent pop ditty is an absolute delight (though inspired by the passing of a bandmates cat), that's not to say it's a sappy song. As a friend of the band said after hearing it, "there's nothing better than shimmering music with melancholy lyrics. The single is also coupled with “Black and Blue”, a time-honored rocker that gives Popular Creeps long-time fans exactly what they’ve come to know and love from the talented foursome.

Popular Creeps hail from Detroit and deliver rock and roll with a sound reminiscent of the mid-to-late eighties college / indie rock scene. In 2018, Lenny Grassa (guitar / vocals), Andrew Colvin (guitar / vocals / organ / percussion), Joe Heaphy (bass guitar), David Nantais (drums) took on the Motor City bar scene and built up a solid following with their stack of originals. It wasn’t long before they headed into the renowned Tempermill studios. The result was their debut album “Bloodshot Red”, released just after live music came to a staggering halt.

Big Stir Records is grateful that Popular Creeps went all-in and brought us these new songs recorded at their rehearsal loft. We are holding on tight for what else may be in store!
