Picking up the pieces of where I left off - something stirs inside me to start again. I’ve watched from shadows long enough - it’s time for action from within. Spiraling a stairway is exhausting - but the higher I climb the higher my mind. I begin again, one step ahead. My muscles are conditioned for the climb. The cave is warm and comforting - the air is damp and nourishing. Rejuvenating my body - fire circulating through my veins. Senses awaken to the heart’s delight - flowing through a river of change. The stairway is giving way - to the current of a stream.

BIG STIR RECORDS SINGLES SERIES is proud to introduce THE HARPER CONSPIRACY to our Big Stir community! Out February 12th is their single “The Climb” which is available now for pre-order at bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-climb-big-stir-single-no-116. Inspired by the songwriting style of REM, “The Climb” is about personal fortitude to keep going - comparing our resilience to nature, the mountains, and the valleys. Life often imitates nature, and this song paints a portrait of that journey.

The band came in to the bustling Seattle music scene known as “HARPER” since the late ‘90s. Performances throughout the Puget Sound at shows such as Peace Concerts and a variety of classic rock clubs led to the establishment of the "Conspiracy”. This powerful, familial band has sought to share that sense of welcoming sonic space with audiences whenever they plug in to play their signature brand of indie rock.

With a captivating four-song EP already to their credit, The Harper Conspiracy have honed their lively sound. The vocal play between the female-fronted four piece engages the listener and lifts their music with the hope to nourish souls and curious seekers.
